The Brooks occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1050 metres in an east-southeast–facing gentle valley slope, approximately 5.5 kilometres east-southeast of Lhole Tse Mountain.

Regionally, the area is underlain by undivided volcanic rocks of the Lower Jurassic Chuchi Lake Formation (Takla Group), which have been intruded by quartz monzonitic to monzogranitic rocks of the Lower Jurassic Hogem Plutonic Suite.

Locally, narrow to 0.25-metre wide quartz-epidote veins cut a coarse-grained diorite with potassium feldspar, epidote and hematite alteration and a chlorite-altered andesite. Mineralization comprises disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite and bornite with malachite staining.

Another zone of mineralization is reported approximately 100 metres southeast of the previous zone and comprises a zone of silica (possible a vein?) and epidote cutting a medium-grained granitic rock with disseminated to semi-massive chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite. This zone is associated with three mineralized and chlorite-altered shear and/or breccia zones striking approximately 70 degrees.

In 2009, a sample (CH-0003) of the first zone assayed 1.45 grams per tonne gold, 6.3 grams per tonne silver and greater than 1.00 per cent copper, whereas two samples (CH-0001 and CH-0005) from the second zone of mineralization yielded 1.23 and 2.58 grams per tonne gold with 2.1 and 2.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.174 and 0.910 per cent copper, respectively (Assessment Report 31649).

Previous sampling of the Brooks occurrence area, in 2001, is reported to have yielded up to approximately 19 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 31649).

In 2011, five rock samples (CH0029A through CH0033) were collected from the Brooks zone and yielded from 0.01 to 1.50 grams per tonne gold, 0.4 to 8.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.139 to 0.978 per cent copper (Assessment Report 32458).

In 2018, a grab sample (CH18220) of brecciated diorite with quartz, semi-massive chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization and intense chlorite alteration assayed 1.855 per cent copper (Assessment Report 37713).

During 2009 through 2019, Ronald J. Bilquist conducted programs of prospecting, rock and soil sampling and geological mapping on the area as the Chuchi 1-10 claims.
